Prenatal Yoga and Mommy and Me Yoga

I am writing to all those stressed out moms out there who I can really relate to.

I have three children all of which came into this world 18 months apart more or less starting with my son who is 9 and my two daughters 5 and 7.

My life was a blurr back then only 5 years ago (seems like ages ago). I clearly remember the exhaustion and the brocken spirit from lack of sleep and inhuman feets of multi- tasking. I did it while maintaining composure and dignity, beacause once I was done at home, I had patients to care of. I never had any time for myself to relax, let alone take a class. The dilemna was what do I do with my toddler while taking a class?

I now lead a much more balanced life thanks to yoga which not only calmed my frazzled mind and constant obsessive type A personality, but I go through my daily challenges effortlessly and with tenacity. My self confidence has come of age and my improved health provides me limitless energy! I am about to turn 40 this year and have been a podiatrist since 1998. I never felt like this 10 years ago. I have more vitality and health now then in my late 20's because I lead a more healthy lifestyle thanks to yoga. This is why I have made yoga part of my daily life and truly enjoy teaching and helping people cope with stress. I feel in these economic times, now more then ever that my elective foot surgeries are clearly secondary and am happy to keep yoga in the fore front instead. I truly feel I can do more good and really enrich people's lives with this very effective tool. Yoga is preventative medicine!

So as a mom I encourage you to come to mommy and me yoga class. Connect with your child plant the seed for future health and wellness.

I also offer pregnant moms and any sibling toddlers a time to connect through yoga. I lead the prenatal yoga session while Lisa leads the toddler into imaginative play and fun all while stretching and strengthening the body and harnessing that toddler energy in a more positive way calming the child and reducing tantrums.
